If you have a job opening, are in the process of expansion, want to promote your organization to students, or just want to meet new potential employees and collect rƩsumƩs, then you should attend our Spring Career Fair!
You may have already heard of our biannual Career Fairs events; the last two resulted in attendance of over 1000 students and employment of over 100 of them, for both internship positions and long-term jobs. In the upcoming Spring Career Fair we will have the University of Prishtina, American University in Kosovo, Iliria University, University of Business and Technology, AAB, and FAMA visiting the Fair, and they will be looking for summer internships as well as long-term opportunities.
The Fair will be held on April 27, at the Youth & Sports Hall (former Boro Ramiz), from 10:00 until 17:00. If you are interested in participating, the deadline for confirmations is April 9. The number of booths at the Fair is limited so please confirm as soon as possible!
What you need to know - for employers:
By confirming your participation, you are accepting to have one booth at the Fair (9 meters square, with a table incuded) and to have your company profile published in the Fair catalogue which will be distributed to the students prior to the Fair. Depending on your choice, you can also choose to have two booths, scheduled presentation times (which will be held in a separate space for up to 20 students), or additional advertising options - for more information on these, please contact us.
The Fair will only last one day, and during the time specified above, students from all those six universities will come to your booth and inquire about emplyoment opportunities, hiring procedures, and similar. It's a career fair - be prepared to give them all the information necessary for them to consider developing a career in your company!
Be polite to all students and do not hesitate to give all the information they request - this is how you build a good image and show your corporate culture. Even if you do not plan to hire yet, do not act as if you are only interested in promotion; talk to students, and network with other company representatives at the Fair as well.
Representatives from universities' career centers will be there - make sure you talk to them and obtain their contact information. They can be of further assistance in recruiting talented and knowledgeable students that might be just what your company needs!
What you need to know - for students:
Be prepared! Do not come in jeans, or without copies of your resume! The representatives you will be meeting are professional people and executives who will not want to waste their time on students who look and act like they have come for shopping. Research the companies before coming to the Fair and avoid asking them 'What do you do?'. The list of the participating companies will be made available online soon; you can also contact us.
A career fair is a first step towards employment, not a final interview or a place where you sign up for a job. You need to use your skills to sell yourself to the company you want to work for. Our statistics show that around only 1 in around 10 students attending Think about your strengths - even though you re still students, if the employers see that you have potential, you are very likely to find a job.
The Fair will last from 10:00 to 17:00 - do not be late, as the representatives will be tired by the end of the day and will not be as interested to talk to you if you come at 16:45.
When you come at the fair, wait in line to register at the entrance and make sure you obtain your ID tag (provided by the hosts). You will want the company representatives to know and remember your name.
Presentations by companies will be held at the Fair - these are good opportunities to find out more about companies, ask them questions and see if you fit in the company. You will be given a presentation schedule when you register at the Fair, together with your ID tag and other necessary materials, such as floor plan, company profiles, etc.
You will most likely have representatives from your universities at the Fair. Do not hesitate to ask them for help or instructions, or if we can help you, you can always come back to the registration table and get more information.
Finally, stay fresh, positive and do not lose hope - if nothing else, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to network, meet new contacts important for your professional future, as well as practice on your interviewing techniques and learn lessons for the next time! |
