Civil Rights Program Kosovo CRP/K is a local NGO, which has started to act independently since January 2004, under the supervision by the founder Norwegian Refugee Council, while as of the year 2005, it continues the work of the Civil Rights Project (CRP). NRC started its Civil Rights Projects in Former Yugoslavia, in Eastern Slavonia, Croatia in 1996, and gradually expanded its legal aid activities and opened CRP offices in Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo. In Kosovo the project started in 1999, while its main objective has been to enhance the protection of the civil rights of IDPs and refugees, both in their place of origin and residence.
Civil Rights Program Kosovo is a network of offices within Kosovo ā in Pris(h)tina, Peja/Pec, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Mitrovice/a (north and south) and Prizren (with satellite offices in Gracanica, S(h)trpce, Gjakove/Djakovica, Kline/a and Istog/k), providing free legal information and assistance to individuals on issues related to the situation of refugees, internally displaced persons, returnees and vulnerable local residents. This service is
given regardless of race, religion, nationality and political conviction.
